BTS, the worldwide phenomenon, had released dates to their Map of the Soul Tour. After the announcement, many fans around the world were already preparing to get tickets online.

Getting tickets can be stressful, getting BTS tickets is just that—except with the website Ticketmaster making fans 100 times more stressed out. (Especially with the little walking person that didn’t want to walk faster.)

It will be my first time going to a BTS concert, so I was very nervous and excited about getting tickets. Luckily, I have friends who also love BTS and wanted to go to the concert too. After establishing the fact that the three of my friends and I want to go to the BTS concert in Los Angeles, we formed a group chat and began to plan.

Our 1st Step: Getting The Tickets

There were three days to get BTS tickets. The first day, Feb. 5, is for the ARMY Membership. It’s if you have paid for a $30 membership that includes other benefits from the app Weverse. The second day is for General Army on Feb. 6. After that day, the website is open for everyone else who wants to purchase tickets.

I decided to get BTS tickets through the General Army sign up. Fans just had to sign up with Ticketmaster through their email with no purchase necessary. After fans signed up before Feb. 2nd on Ticketmaster, they will be chosen the day before the tickets go on sale to get a code to buy the tickets.

I and my two other friends, Donna and John, received the code, while our other friend Brian got wait listed. After fans get the code and link to the website, they will have to go on the website the next day to get the tickets.

At the designated time, for me it was 3:00 pm, fans will be placed in the online waiting room as people buy tickets. There is a little cartoon walking figure to show the progress on how close they are for their turn and to see how many people are ahead in the line.

Usually, the website would begin to say there are 2,000+ people ahead in the line. And from there, the amount would decrease. After fans have gone into the queue, they choose their seats, enter the code, and pay for their tickets.

John had gotten in the queue in 15 minutes, so he was the first among us to get in. He then bought the tickets for the four of us.

After the purchase, everyone in the room was relieved and happy that we got our tickets. John exclaimed, “I can finally breathe now, that was so stressful.” It was a nerve-wracking process but it was worth it in the end, knowing that we would be able to see our favorite band.

Here are some pictures of us when we were trying to buy BTS tickets. We also had our friends around us cheering us on and giving us support.
